Swans Hotel Victoria

We had a wonderful lunch of Reuben sandwiches and beer. Thank you Eugenie for the attentive service. We stop at the Swans when we are in Victoria as the food quality and service is consistent, so it was a return visit.
Swans was recommended to me by several co-workers. Swans is in a great location. An easy walk to my meetings, downtown attractions, the waterfront and parliament buildings. As I was staying for three nights, I loved that the room is like a one bedroom condo with a separate bedroom and a full kitchen. I would recommend that you request a room that is not above the pub. The food and beer (they brew their own) at the pub is great and there is live music on the weekends. I have already pre-booked to stay here for my next business trips
Location is great – right downtown, near restaurants, bars, touristy things. The room was very nice and it was quiet – third floor suite, with a small kitchen. Check in and out was quick and easy. They have an arrangement at a parking lot nearby for $11, or you can try to park on the street (I paid for parking). I would stay here again!

Quiet comfortable rooms, clean, professional, and the location was excellent. We walked to dinner each evening, walked down to the waterfront for New Year’s Eve fireworks, short walk to shops. We had a one bedroom suite that was exactly as advertised. The front desk was very friendly and competent. My go to place in Victoria now.

This is an awesome hotel. The staff are very very helpful and nice. They have a shuttle van that will drive you to get your groceries, go downtown go just about anywhere you want. They do have a mile radius to follow. This hotel is very close to the water. Walking distance to the Empress. The legislature grounds are almost next door. My friend and I went in Sept. My husband and I are going to Victoria for a wedding in June and have already booked our rooms. You should get a room with the kitchen it will save big time $$ in restaurant food. Beautiful place. My friend and I are going back in Sept again. You must stay at the Royal Scot.

We stayed in this facility on our Cosmos Coach Tour of The Rockies, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The facility had lift access, a good restaurant, and the service was good. There was a strong hint of Scottish Culture.

We arrived at this hotel July 21, 2016. Nice looking from the outside, but that’s where it ended. Room was a terrible left over from the 80’s and falling apart. We went out for the evening and returned at 12:30am to a room that was about 84 degrees. AC had stopped working. Went to the front desk clerk who could do nothing. The hotel was full and room couldn’t be swapped out. Asked for a spare AC unit and I would swap it myself. Didn’t have one and told me they break down all the time. There was a very large window (4′ x4′ approx.) in the room that opened all the way to help alleviate the heat. Parents with small children, be aware for the safety of your children. Inquisitive children could easily fall out. I’ve never seen a window in a hotel on a upper floor open more than about 3 inches, there secured with a blocking device. Serious safety issue! Finally climbed into bed at about 1:30am and slept till about 5:30am when a garbage truck drove down the lane way beside the hotel and woke the whole family up. Tried to get back to sleep, good luck.
Spoke to the day desk clerk in the morning who referred us to there General Manager, Richmond who wasn`t there. This was a one night stay for us, so we conversed with him by phone at a later time. Richmond would do nothing more than a 10% discount. That`s a $17.50 reduction for a room that was suppose to have AC that impacted our next day due to lack of sleep. This was a 7 day vacation for us. A 10% reduction shows you how little they care about you and your family. The cost of this room was $175 plus tax. I expected a better room and certainly better service for that kind of money

A quick overnight stop over. For a low priced hotel the room was adequate, bathroom was clean. Lacking some niceties I would have expected, even at a bargain price, glasses would have been better than paper cups, coffee supplies were sparse and there was no kettle to boil water to make tea. I would stay there again because it is cheap and convenient, but not for more than 1 or 2 nights.

Regent Hotel Victoria

Lovely hotel, great location, friendly staff. Walking distance to great shopping and fun pubs. Room was ready when we arrived earlier than expected and we were allowed access immediately. Breakfast cafe has a great view of the water.

Our second stay at this hotel. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with views from every window, it was spectacular. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, this has become an annual event for us. Love that parking and breakfast is included. The location is perfect. We enjoy exploring downtown Victoria on foot, so much to see and do

The location was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. I would book here again! The room was comfortable and it was very quiet and peaceful. There was a good selection of restaurants in the vicinity too.

The rooms are wonderfully furnished and every comfort is provided. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Victoria. The downtown location is perfect, the hotel is first class, and the waterside rooms offer a lovely views of harbor activities such as passing seaplanes, people in kayaks, as well as large and small boats. Lovely sunsets. Absolutely a great place. Spotlessly clean.

We stayed here over the holidays in a petite suite for a very reasonable price. Check staff were friendly. This place is not wheelchair friendly at all. Lots of stairs and no elevators. The hotel is old and a bit dated. The rooms are not quiet. The petite suite has the basics for a good nights sleep and no extras like a coffee maker or microwave. We had to call down for a hairdryer. There is also a restaurant located in the hotel. It is walking distance to the Parliament buildings and downtown. There is also parking around the hotel.

Older hotel no elevator but clean. Decent sized room. Friendly helpful staff. Has both a restaurant and a pub. Slightly off the beaten path in a quieter neighbor, but walking distance or quick taxi to anything you need.

We booked this thru the Victoria Clipper. The hotel is a ten minute walk from downtown and a twenty minute walk from the Clipper dock. It is a pleasant walk down safe streets. The building has several floors with no elevators. Our room was large with two queen beds and private bath. No A/C, but we were there in December so it wasn’t necessary. We ate lunch in the restaurant on the lower floor. The food and service were very good. The decor is dated, but nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

DoubleTree Hotel & Suites Victoria

My parents who are seniors enjoyed the comfortable beds, Not every hotel offers two queen size beds as most are just two double beds. The accessible bathroom was great for a person who requires a walker or cane. The service they received while visiting for family day weekend was very friendly and helpful. Loved the cookies, tea and coffee

This hotel is right behind the Empress Hotel providing easy walking access to everything. The staff were exceptional. The front desk, valet and housekeepers all interacted with us and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Thursday night a Bartholomew pub is music bingo night. Apparently a locals favorite. We had a blast.
The hotel is located right downtown within walking distance to everything. Upon arrival the staff are very friendly and helpful. |Valet parking is available for a fee. If you prefer street parking after 6 p.m until 7 a.m. is free. loved the warm cookie on arrival. I stay here for stay-cations!! Will be back again.

We loved this hotel! We had planned to spend several days in Victoria over Christmas, and this was the hotel we booked for the first part of our trip. Once we arrived and got moved in, we extended our stay another day, and then extended it again to stay our entire vacation. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was top notch, the room was quiet and comfortable, the hotel itself was clean, and the location was very convenient. The hotel is across the street from the Parliament building, with easy access to the Royal BC Museum, downtown, and the waterfront. There is a grocery store down the street, as well as coffee shops, a tea parlor, quaint restaurants and a market.

Staying at the Embassy Inn for 15 wonderful nights with our Tour was super. Our accommodations in the king suite was fantastic and far more than what we expected. the friendly and helpful cleaning staff were excellent and very efficient. the breakfast room is very inviting and bright even to the palm trees outside the windows. Scott you are very friendly, professional and a wonderful chef and made every morning a great start to our day with vast array or food especially the waffles, strawberries and whip topping. Thank you all for making our holiday so memorable. (We will be back)

Comfort Inn Victoria

I was allowed to check into my room early, was tired and exhausted and I was very grateful for a welcoming approach by the staff. Clean tidy room, efficient staff and overall a very pleasant two day stay

There is a nearby mall with Starbucks and food court.
Room was very clean and staff was very polite. Furniture seemed new; the bed, desk, chairs were in great condition. Breakfast included hot food items (scrambled eggs, sausage, etc). Room had a refrigerator and coffee maker.
2.5 km from downtown Victoria. Not much around the hotel in terms of shopping or restaurants. Since parking is difficult to find in downtown Victoria, I chose to stay here, and walk 2.5 km. Hotel is quite utility. The basics are there, staff is friendly and helpful. Not much more can be said. Breakfast is not great, but fair, considering the price.
Hotel was in a good location, five minute walk to Mayfair Shopping centre, restaurant in hotel plus beer & wine. Breakfast in the morning, good selection and very clean. Five minute drive to Royal Jubilee Hospital, downtown five minute drive to any location. Room very clean, bathroom spacious, bed comfortable and our window faced the street and we could not hear the traffic, staff helpful and friendly. Yes, I would stay again and also recommend to my friends.

Had great time. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the great view in the restaurant Room was clean with good view. weather was great. service was good with helpful staff in the vista restaurant

The location is great. Quiet for sleep purposes but central and walking distance to many interesting sites and good restaurants. Staff are efficient and friendly. Rooms are big, clean and it has great wifi. Breakfasts can be taken on the top floor, view and scrumptious food. Pool and hot tub. This hotel has it all! We have stayed 8 times in the last 3 years. Never disappointed.

I had the fastest check-in and check-out experience, even though there were only 2 people manning front desk.
Rooms were well-equipped and clean, I liked having an iron and ironing board as well as a kettle and a coffee maker.
The coffee in my room had a sweeter than normal taste and I found it too weak for my liking, but that was not an issue at all, there were plenty of places around to get stronger coffee, including a nearby 7-11, McDonalds and Starbucks.

I called house keeping to have extra towels for the kids and they were knocking on my door within 3 minutes.
Maybe we were lucky coz. the place was not that busy at the time but we still felt welcome and taken care of anyway.

The hotel is not the cheapest especially that you have to pay extra for the parking, however, it does provide good value for money compared to other hotels in this specific location.

The hotel’s location is super, it is at a walking distance from many restaurants and other downtown attractions. It has an OK indoor pool with Jacuzzi.
Did not have the chance to try the restaurant.

My only complaint was noise from people leaving the bar at night, as my room was right above it, but I did not bother to ask for a room change, I believe I would have been accommodated if i did.

Overall I would recommend this hotel for others.
Thank you guys.

We stayed one night, we don’t live far but wanted to have a night away from home. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It has a great location. We have no complaints. We will stay again.
The Swans is a lovely old hotel with lots of character. The rooms are decorated with interesting art. The location is close to the bridge and within walking distance of the down town area and many restaurants. The Swans Brew Pub has an excellent menu and the food is good. The beds were very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
