Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour

This hotel is located on a relatively quiet street close to downtown. I found it comfortable and clean. Shout out to guest services and housekeeping. Two things would have earned five bubbles on this review. My room had what appeared to be an older style heating unit complete with night “rattle”….and the towel rack placed in the tub surround was awkward. Otherwise a great stay. Thank you,

Very well located hotel in downtown Victoria – walking distance to everything. Good quality hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, particularly the bell staff and front desk folks. Well appointed rooms with everything you need. Very comfortable beds. Will put this place on my list for the next stay in Victoria.
Wife and I were here for 3 nights during an extended weekend around Vday.

It’s unfortunate that we did not arrive to Victoria by sea. We had to take a taxi from the airport. Public transport to the hotel from the airport is not convenient, the price for 2 people on the shuttle is almost as much as a taxi.

The check in process was wonderful, the guy at the desk was super friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. The Bathroom amenities were great, I wish Marriott participate in programs such as “Make a Green Choice” for bonus points like SPG.

The hotel was centrally located. From the hotel we were able to walk to anywhere we needed around town. The bus to Butchart Gardens is also right around the corner of the hotel on Douglas. Bulk Barn, one of the reason why we came to BC is also a few blocks away on Yates. Lots of fantastic restaurant options around the hotel, such as Aura. Tea at the Empress is across the street and Royal BC museum is right next to that.

Overall it was a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to go back.

Royal Scot Hotel Victoria

Quiet comfortable rooms, clean, professional, and the location was excellent. We walked to dinner each evening, walked down to the waterfront for New Year’s Eve fireworks, short walk to shops. We had a one bedroom suite that was exactly as advertised. The front desk was very friendly and competent. My go to place in Victoria now.

This is an awesome hotel. The staff are very very helpful and nice. They have a shuttle van that will drive you to get your groceries, go downtown go just about anywhere you want. They do have a mile radius to follow. This hotel is very close to the water. Walking distance to the Empress. The legislature grounds are almost next door. My friend and I went in Sept. My husband and I are going to Victoria for a wedding in June and have already booked our rooms. You should get a room with the kitchen it will save big time $$ in restaurant food. Beautiful place. My friend and I are going back in Sept again. You must stay at the Royal Scot.

We stayed in this facility on our Cosmos Coach Tour of The Rockies, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The facility had lift access, a good restaurant, and the service was good. There was a strong hint of Scottish Culture.

Regent Hotel Victoria

Lovely hotel, great location, friendly staff. Walking distance to great shopping and fun pubs. Room was ready when we arrived earlier than expected and we were allowed access immediately. Breakfast cafe has a great view of the water.

Our second stay at this hotel. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with views from every window, it was spectacular. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, this has become an annual event for us. Love that parking and breakfast is included. The location is perfect. We enjoy exploring downtown Victoria on foot, so much to see and do

The location was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. I would book here again! The room was comfortable and it was very quiet and peaceful. There was a good selection of restaurants in the vicinity too.

The rooms are wonderfully furnished and every comfort is provided. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who comes to Victoria. The downtown location is perfect, the hotel is first class, and the waterside rooms offer a lovely views of harbor activities such as passing seaplanes, people in kayaks, as well as large and small boats. Lovely sunsets. Absolutely a great place. Spotlessly clean.

Inn at the Union Club

Central location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, very clean, well-provisioned and comfortable rooms and good dining and lounge facilities. Don’t be put off by their apparent obsession with a dress code, it’s all very pragmatic although this is probably going to suit the older person.

My main reason for returning to the Union Club is that it offers a British-style venue, especially in its public rooms. I especially enjoy the very large reading room with its genteel atmosphere and ample selection of periodicals.

As other establishments renovate and diminish the presentation of their British heritage, I appreciate the Union Club for its support of Canada’s English/Scottish legacy.

Richard and Michael offered great service which I and my guests for breakfast appreciated. And the location couldn’t be more central to Victoria. Dan in Vancouver.

Inn At Laurel Point Victoria

Last few months personally have been really really stressful. Still not sure what it is about Inn at Laurel Point that is different from everywhere else. They have that special something that I have very seldom found anywhere else. I now compare everywhere to Laurel Point and am still looking for one that measures up! Great food at reasonable prices, gorgeous views, attentive funny staff. Valet parking is always good. Close to downtown for my appointments, so just walk downtown. Lovely lovely spot.

The laurel point has caught up with the times. Since it’s on the other side of the harbour we’ve tended to forget about it over the years as it’s a bit further walk to downtown, plus the last time I stayed ( several years ago) it just felt a bit tired.

We just finished a short stay and I can certainly recommend it to fellow travellers. The rooms have been upgraded, the amenities refreshed, the aura restaurant has world class cuisine and the level of service is precise, timely and friendly.

Things are much closer than they seem too. A wonderful beautiful 8-10minute walk around Victoria’s stunning inner harbour and you are right in the thick of tourism central.

I’m happy we chose the laurel point on this visit and I’m sure we will stay there again.

We had a great stay. The room was clean and tidy. The pool was clean and well cared for. The location is great as well. It is located on a walking path the leads right past the parliament buildings to downtown (opposite direction goes toward the breakwater/fisherman’s wharf).
We booked this hotel through BC Ferries Vacations and had a great experience. Although there was no availability for this hotel listed on the BC Ferries website (as it was less than 48hrs from arrival), the BC Ferries agent was able to call the hotel and book us a room.
We arrived before check-in and asked if we were able to check in early. Unfortunately our room was unavailable but the friendly front desk staff asked if we would like to purchase an upgrade as it was Valentines Day and they still had suites available, they even offered to show us the room to let us decide. We ended up going with an upgrade to a studio suite (outer harbor view) which was beautiful.

Huntingdon Hotel Victoria

Right on the Inner Harbor, across the street from the Victoria Clipper dock. Easy access to everything. Staff was excellent. The only negative would be the large number of steps. Could be tough for anyone mobility compromised. We have stayed here before and would do it again.

The staff are very friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, with cooking facilities should you need them. Parking is available, usually at a cost, but was included in our BC Ferries package. The only complaint I have, but it’s a big one, was the breakfast. This was included in the price, but over a three day stay, two of the breakfasts bordered on inedible. The first day the pancakes were so dried out from being pre-prepared, I couldn’t cut them with a knife. The third day, the only eggs available were scrambled and neither I nor my husband was able to eat more than a mouthful. Dry, tasteless and obviously hours old, even at 8am. Even if you are including a meal, it ought to be of reasonable
quality. It’s a pity, because it spoiled an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Within walking distance to downtown. No view, but everything else is done very well. If you want to relax and take a step back in time then you will appreciate what the H.H. has to offer. Service was friendly and very well done! We would go back.
We have only stayed in the “Mikado” room. It was quiet, but there were only two other guest staying at the time. Plan to relax and don’t expect large flat screens and pools. They do have Wi-Fi, TV and Jacuzzi tubs in some rooms.

Harbour Towers Hotel Victoria

Located very close to the Clipper landing and a very easy walk to Harbour Towers Hotel and Suites and downtown shopping. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the heating was just right. The front desk workers were very accommodating upon arrival and departure. I would stay there upon visiting again and again and will tell my friends about my wonderful experience experience

Our family of 5 stayed in a two bedroom suite. The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and spacious. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a very short walk from the Victoria Clipper. The Parliament, Empress and Royal BC Museum are all close. There are many restaurants nearby to choose from. There are a lot of stores for shopping too. The included breakfast was great and the dining staff were all super nice to us. A great stay!

Excellent deal with Groupon. A bottle of wine, free parking and a good breakfast all included. Hotel is centrally located and parking garage allows exit in three directions. Staff in breakfast restaurant were excellent, especially the young man who appears to work 7 days a week.

Grand Pacific Hotel Victoria

From driving your vehicle up to the valet, to the personnel at the front desk, the friendly professionalism of this staff begins and continues throughout your stay. A wonderful location with super comfy beds and clean updated suites. Would definitely recommend to all!

I stayed here as part of a conference I was attending. I loved the location in downtown Victoria, right across from the water. The room was very comfortable with lots of pillows! They served some cookies as part of our refreshment breaks at our conference that I am still thinking about (the protein cookies and the chocolate hazelnut cookies). So delicious. Every part of my stay was excellent. I cannot think of anything that I would change.

We used the pool every night. It’s a really big pool with lots of space for everyone to have fun. The hotel room was also good and spacious. We had a pretty good view on the 10th floor. We could see the Empress, the Royal BC Museum, part of the Legislature buildings, the water and had a small balcony too. I recommend visiting the Robert Bateman Gallery across the street – it’s excellent.

Gatsby Mansion Inn Victoria

We live in Victoria, but decided to stay at the Gatsby Mansion for our anniversary.

What a gem! We loved it there! The vintage accommodations, so carefully preserved and well-maintained. It was like stepping back in time. The complimentary “Breakfast Tea” in the morning was amazing.

For an authentic, lovely and memorable stay in Victoria, that is close to everything and still affordable, we highly recommend the Gatsby Mansion.

We stayed in the motel suites at the back of the mansion house itself – it was well equipped and functional and had a small balcony with a view of the bay where we could see the sea planes landing and taking off. This part of the hotel felt neglected and the main mansion hotel was undergoing repairs and painting so they were probably in the middle of seasons restoring the upkeep while it was quiet. Victoria was great and we enjoyed long walks in the local neighborhood and enjoying the sights and beautiful weather.

We took our family to high tea for the first time. It was casual which was good for us. Good food. Holiday tea was very good. Joanne was a great waitress. She shared a lot of fun Canadian facts. We will go back.
