Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour

The Marriott Inner Harbour is a great place to stay for a Victoria vacation. Well situated near the heart of the City making it very easy to walk downtown Victoria. The hotel itself is very clean and modern with spacious rooms. Staff are very friendly and professional.

Very well located hotel for downtown activities and meetings. Room decor was very traditional — an odd contrast with the building exterior. Superlative breakfast team; attentive at the buffet and poured me a coffee to go. Ditto re: excellent front desk team. In-room coffee availability was appreciated, however I would have appreciated seeing some of the excellent local roasteries featured.
We stayed here for a Friday night/Saturday night week-end and will definitely stay here again on a future visit. The location is excellent – right near the inner harbour and close to the BC Museum and other attractions. We just reserved a basic room with one bed, but it was very spacious and well-appointed, including a desk, armchair, fridge, bathrobes, coffee-maker, safe, etc.. They have good rates for seniors so it was really excellent value, and the whole place was very pleasant. The underground parking lot is well-lit and easy to get to, and unlike some parking lots, the spots are a decent size and the price reasonable enough. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.

Royal Scot Hotel Victoria

The Royal Scot hotel is one block from the Provincial Parliament building. The location is walkable to many tourist attractions and activities; such as Fisherman’s Wharf, Museum, Shopping, Eating and the list goes on. The Royal Scot Hotel and Suites offers full kitchens and the grocery story is about seven walkable blocks away. Hope to one day return to Victoria. Style is definitely 1960’s décor but quality furniture. Staff were very helpful and the hotel was very clean.

No wonder my family keeps coming back. This is a top notch hotel. Very clean. Prices are very good and the location is the best. The restaurant has amazing food for the price. I recommend this hotel and will be back

Great apartment, friendly helpful staff, walking distance to everything from shopping to wonderful restaurants and pubs. The waterfront view is excellent with Parliament buildings lit up at night and kayaks and float planes landing in the morning.

We stayed for 2 nights in a 1 bedroom suite on 5th floor overlooking the harbor. Very nice, spacious, clean and awesome views. Full kitchen if you need but we just used the coffee pot. Complementary breakfast is OK nothing special , basic cereals, breads, omellete and breakfast meat. Hotel is in walking distance to everything and very central. Staff were very helpful in recommendations of eating, shopping etc. We used underground parking which was very handy. Yes I would stay again

This is our second year in the hotel. Enjoyed it very much.. Will be returning next year. View is awesome. Close to all services. Always working on upgrades i.e new windows, new carpet. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Inn at the Union Club

On a recent business trip to Victoria, friends and members of the Union Club arranged my stay there. I found it to be a very quiet and comfortable place. I did not have time to experience the common areas. My room was pleasant although a trifle crowded. The bed was very comfortable. The halls were quiet. It was a pleasure to be a guest there.

We love the Union Club. It is central to many tourist sights including the harbour and the museum, it is quiet, the rooms are clean and the beds and pillows comfortable. The facilities are excellent, including a superb reading room, dining and lounge areas. There is an old world charm to the hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is a dress code but it is unpretentious. We highly recommend it and will return in the near future.

Inn At Laurel Point Victoria

It was probably just fine during the 1970s but unfathomable that a so-called high end hotel doesn’t even bother to install outlets on desk or bedside table or bedside lamp. Location is great. No breakfast buffet and a la carte breakfast menu is over priced for standard breakfast fare. No bar. It was noticeable when booking that this hotel was about half the price of others in same category, presumably because of lack of updates.

We had arrived at the Inn at Laurel Point to check in and found quite a wonderful surprise. The hotel had decided to upgrade us from the room we had to the Honeymoon suite. Our check in was seamless and the lady behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. We entered and found it to be absolutely amazing. Every room (except the bathroom) had absolutely beautiful views. The TV room had a pull out bed, TV, phone, small refrigerator and a sliding door to a very large patio. The bedroom had a TV, chair and sliding door to the large patio. The bedroom was about the the only place for good WIFI if you need it. The bathroom has a large glass enclosed shower and 2 sinks. There was this super big 4 person jetted tub next to the bedroom that also had spectacular views, wow what a way to relax. Checking out was also seamless. We will definitely come back, thanks to whomever picked us for the upgrade, it was truly wonderful.

Highlight is breakfast served in a room suffused with natural light with 3 walls of wrap around windows. Food servers are on their toes to make sure you are served asap. Selection offered: Classic breakfast, pancake breakfast, or yogurt and cereal. Servings are generous. Nights are quiet (facing away from harbor). Rooms and furnishings are in new and very good condition. Staff are good hosts.

The Huntington Manor Hotel is located within a five minute walk of the Black Ball and Victoria Clipper terminals, very close to all of the major attractions near the harbor, downtown and along the north shoreline of Victoria. Our room was incredibly quiet as well as cozy. The staff are wonderful, and guests can choose from three delicious complimentary breakfasts. I plan to definitely stay here every time I visit Victoria.

Humboldt House Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our babymoon and we got exactly what we were looking for: relaxation. One of the main reasons we booked this B&B in particular was the jacuzzi, and it definitely did not disappoint. The house is located very close to the city center, though we took our car a lot as the weather we not so nice. After an outing it wss so nice to go back to the room and warm up with a nice soak in the tub. The Mikado Room was beautiful and we loved how quiet and private it seemed despite being on the main floor. We only briefly saw one other person in the house during our entire long-weekend stay. The drawing room had tea and cookies out which we thought was a very nice touch. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay here and would return again.

Harbour Towers Hotel Victoria

The harbourview suite (on the 8th floor) has a good view of the inner harbour and the windows are low enough you can sit and look out. It was too cold for us to use the balcony, but it would have been grand to be able to sit outside and just watch the coming and going. That is the best thing about it. The suite was spacious and clean but it is dated, time for a refurbishment. There was a slightly “old” smell. The kitchen is on the minimalist side for a housekeeping unit, especially one so large. If one is planning to do a lot of food prep beware there is only a small microwave, a bar fridge and a two burner hotplate. The breakfast which comes with the room (for us anyway) is excellent. There is a cold buffet and then served hot food. All good quality. EVERYWHERE the staff were welcoming and gracious. We didn’t use the gym or pool area, but the kids in the elevator were enthusiastic about it. The location is good, not far from downtown, near many restaurants and attractions, and just a short walk to the waterfront along Dallas.

Other than the awkward steps from reception to the elevators which was difficult with suitcases or handicaps this is a very good hotel. Staff provide friendly professional service that met our needs. Have stayed here before and would again.

Grand Pacific Hotel Victoria

Stayed for three nights and everything was perfect. From the greeting at the door, to the valet, and the very clean suite, all went well. Very convenient location and walkable to just about everywhere. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The Rooms have large balconies with views of the Inner Harbour Area. Renovation on the one wing should be done for next season. Great location and a very helpful front desk. There also is a gym and pool.

My wife and I spent four wonderful days staying at The Grand Pacific . The location was fantastic . The views were spectacular and the service was fantastic . This hotel is located within walking distance of the museum , parliament buildings , great food and great shopping . The fact that it is also across the street from the ferry terminal makes it a first pick for any type of adventure .

Gatsby Mansion Inn Victoria

We love to stay in non-standard accomodations and Gatsby Mansion definitely fills the bill. The house was built in 1897, I believe, and has had several incarnations. Now it is a bed and breakfast and is part of the Huntingdon Manor hotel. The location is super and the parking was free. We left our car for the weekend and walked all over Victoria. It was very enjoyable and comfortable.

The entrance was not manned when we arrived so we checked in at the adjoining hotel. The lobby was pleasant and there was a nice fire in the fireplace with a place to sit. I also noticed a small lounge on the third floor where we stayed.

We booked the turret room. Spectacular view of the harbor and very quiet. The room was large and furnished with period pieces, including an armoire since there was no closet. The wifi was free and strong. The bathroom was well appointed and very clean. The tub was large and there was a tiled surround with plenty of space to put soaps and shampoos. For such an old house the water pressure was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows and bedding were fresh and clean. There was a plug-in heater which we did not need as the room was warm even on a cold day in February. There is also a ceiling fan and a freestanding fan. An iron and ironing board are provided as well as slippers and robes. The complimentary toiletries are high quality.

We had little contact with the staff but when we did see them they were very pleasant and polite.

Breakfast was provided and we ate there both mornings. There are three choices, scrambled eggs, pancakes, or fruit and yogurt parfait. The pancakes were the best choice. Bacon, sausage, and ham were offered. We tried the bacon and sausage and preferred the bacon. There was not much flavor to the sausages. The weakest item was the scrambled eggs. They appeared to be a foodservice product and didn’t have much flavor. Each table had their own pot of coffee which was a nice touch. Had the breakfast not come with the room we probably would have eaten elsewhere.

All in all, Gatsby Mansion is a very comfortable place to stay and is rich in history. Although there is no elevator they offered to carry our luggage up and down for us if we had needed help. For location and comfort and the uniqueness of the building I definitely recommend it.
