Management does try, but both times we stayed we had problems. We stayed here because it was cheap. It was for training I had to do and it accepts pets (we have 2 dogs). The rooms look decent, nice up-to-date linens, furnishings, etc. but the walls have stains/marks on them (age)? There were no glasses only 2 paper cups and the ice bucket was missing in the second room. There were 3 lotions instead of shampoo, conditioner and lotion and the gal at the front desk said the “Asian” housekeepers can’t read English and the containers all look the same. It was too cold in the room the first weekend we stayed and too hot in the room the next weekend (diff. rooms). The thermostat in the second room was behind the TV so it was not accessible and they don’t seem to work anyway. The A/C was on when we arrived (this is January). The hair dryer didn’t work and the toilet wouldn’t flush. They tried to fix it; a guy came in with a plumber/s snake and after working on it for a while said it was fixed finally but, no, it wasn’t. My husband finally asked them to move us to another room. The story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears came to mind as, finally, the third room was “just right”. Everything worked and was there and the temperature stayed constant. The walls also seem thin as you can hear people talking in the other rooms and especially in the hallway. We have to stay a third weekend in Feb. so we asked for the same room but they told us they couldn’t guarantee it because someone else may book it the day before and stay longer. (Why they can’t just hold that one on the day we arrive, especially booked 2 weeks in advance, is beyond me). Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is that you do get what you pay for. The rooms are under $100/night which is what I needed, but for that you should NOT expect a 5 star hotel.

Days Inn Victoria Uptown

I had to visit Victoria on business on a last minutes notice and chose the Days Inn Vic. Uptown as it is centrally located but quite and good value for the money.
The staff is always very friendly and professional and there are great walks nearby to explore Victoria’s outdoor splendor!

I stay here a lot on business. I like the big rooms with separate bedroom.
It’s a little dated and no elevator but the price is good and Wyndham points program.
But overall it’s a good value. I will stay again.

We needed a motel that was on a bus route in case we were not able to get a taxi to get to and from the hospital. It snowed heavily and the taxi companies were not answering their phones and so we took the bus. The motel is older, but well kept up. The staff were friendly and met our needs. We weren,t sure about the dining as it is in a bar and the place was packed so we were glad we had brought food and took a well equipped kitchenette.(coffee maker, kettle, microwave, fridge pots&pans, and dishes .

Very pleasant staff both on check-in and previous phone inquries. Quiet, clean more than adequate rooms and services i.e. ice machine/laundry/lending library. Spotless area on ground floor. Fabulous location based on our activity in Victoria.

This is a good clean budget hotels with decent beds with a good rates. There is a decent restaurant on site for those who do not want to leave the hotel. When you are looking for the hotel when coming from downtown you have to look closely for the entrance?

So here I am in town on a contract staying at this place.
1st night there’s drunks banging around smoking pot and talking SUPER LOUD.
I call the desk and get a oh. Ah. Gee ok I’ll see what I can do. – They did nothing.

2nd night the same. Tge 4th night my room filled with Pot smoke snd finally they fined them but they still got to stay!

Now my contracts 2 months. The cleaning people stack towels on ypur laundry. They don’t vacum the room or take out the garbage.

The rooms gave sliding patio doors so as soon as it’s 3 AM one of the drunk pot smoking guests decides to get high or smoke in the room .. sooo they use that sliding door and it rumbles your room like a thunder storm. This happens nightly – IT’S INSANE!

Nice to swim in the warm pool and it was very quiet. Great parking and close to downtown. The room was clean and very comfortable. It was close to family and we left a pillow behind so they left it at the front desk for my daughter to pickup

I liked the location the most. Nestled along the gorge waterway, near the galloping goose trail bridge, and embedded in a residential area. Centrally located. Could see the parliament buildings down the water. Landscaping is well done. Some traffic noise but not terrible. Room fan can white noise it if sensitive.

On site is a breakfast restaurant and the Loft Pub. Both served above average food and enjoyed them both. Service is friendly.

Not much nearby in terms of commercial. For a very good restaurant walk a few minutes to glo restaurant along the water.

Rooms are clean and basic which suited my style. Beds were well done. Staff thruout property are friendly. Property was pretty quiet. Wooden construction so can hear some other guests moving around sometimes. No complaints. Doors were to exterior like a motel which was really nice. Parking at the door. Wifi was no prob.

Heated indoor pool with sauna and fitness room. Play with dial knobs to get the sauna pumpin.

I’d stay here again if needed a dependable and easy hotel. I’m not a fan of 2 bed rooms so would look for a king room instead

A sweet location a short walk from the canal walkway to downtown Victoria.
An older Ramada with reasonable online rates. Conveniently attached restaurant with fireplace news paper and tasty culinary selections for breakfast, not included.
Friendly service all around.

We had a room with a king size bed, a great view, big enough to entertain friends who accompanied us. Desk clerks very helpful in pointing out attractions & how to get there.
Elevators make it easy for folks of any age group to enjoy their stay.

My card keys to my room kept getting wiped out and it was the 3rd we realized it was due to my phone. I always hve put my hotel card key with my phone case and never had this problem, but once frt desk figured it out it continued to wrk.
I do not understand why there is not some kind of breakfast included. 98% of hotels now offer some sort of free breakfast.

I was very satisfied – good location, comfortable room, very clean, great staff, food at the restaurant on site was really good and prices OK. On the Gorge, which is a quiet area, but still near downtown; a small green space/ park just across the access road near the Gorge. I will definitely stay here on future trips.
Our trip to Victoria for a hockey tournament in Saanich was super.
The check in was good quick and very efficient and professional. The lobby was clean modern and very appealing. I did not eat at the restaurant but our team mates loved the homemade pizza.
Our room was awesome with a full kitchen and large frig and stove. The kitchen was designed very nicely. The view from the 3rd floor was amazing with the Parliaments in sight
I also enjoyed the “galloping goose trail” (walking/biking trail) that went all the way to the Empress downtown Victoria. I was at the harbor in less than half an hour. Very close to Tim Hortins too.
The motel was easy to find and was lite up with amazing white Christmas lights.
There was a problem with the hot water tab in the tub though I reported on Sunday to LInda in housekeeping in the workout room and she addressed the situation quickly by informing maintenance immediately. I hope this plumbing problem was not too costly for the motel. The group rate for 14 rooms was $70CDN and the banquet room for team meals was great and very clean. Pet friendly also with a park right across the street from the motel.
I hope this helps you choice this great motel!! 🙂Check Rates

My wife and I were in Victoria for a night and decided to try the ramada after reading some reviews on here. We were pleasantly surprised, the room was clean and well kept. It came with a fridge and microwave which was unexpected and we would have utilised had we known beforehand. The receptionist was helpful and nice, overall a good place to stay for a short visit to victoria. We will be back I’m sure.

Bar patrons pack in the “Hecklers” bar down below and smoke and talk loudly outside your room. Currently doing burnouts in the parking lot – No wonder it’s cheap. Crows restaurant is good thou ( hence the two stars) . Stairwell is damp and smells like mildew. Hotel needs a refresh.

Stayed here for business a few times. Close to Douglas street and the downtown core. Rooms are good value for the money. Nothing fancy, clean and quiet. Nice pub just down the road. Nice view of the Gorge waterway.

This hotel is my go-to when I stay in Victoria. It is comfortable and clean and the customer service is excellent. When I am by myself, I usually get a room with a king size bed and find it very comfortable. On this recent visit, my daughter was with me so we had 2 queen beds and I must say they weren’t as comfortable as the king. Guests passing by outside your room at night can be noisy on occasion. My only wish is that there was an elevator.

Great staff. Not to far from downtown. The room had everything I needed. Lots of parking. The hotel is a little older a could use a little TLC. There’s a pub attached to the hotel. I found my room very quite. . Great place if your on a budget. 2 handicap parking spots rite out front. A really good 3.5 star rating.

This property is naturally built on a slope with the front desk on a ‘middle’ floor among 3 of them. It’s only a minor problem if their room no signs with the proper ranges are all well placed and indicated. Else it’s extremely frustrating to road warriors hauling suitcases up and down the stairs, and only to find out the signs don’t give proper directions.

Just needed to stay one night. Arrived early and they were able to accommodate the early check-in. Room was clean. Had everything we needed. TV/remote worked, there’s a safe in the room, and nice to have the mini fridge and microwave. Efficient with check-in and check out. The Pub/Lounge also had friendly, efficient service. We just had small snacks, but everything A-okay. (didn’t take advantage of breakfast). Location is quite central to everything
