To be honest my boyfriend booked this hotel so I hadn’t done research on it however I felt it was further from down town then we would have liked. We did walk down to the water and parliament buildings but It was about a 40 mins walk. The staff warned us about leaving anything in our cars as it wasn’t the best neighbourhood and theft has happened. The room was clean and much larger than we needed (we had a full sitting area and tiny kitchen) however it definitely felt like an older more dated hotel – even felt a bit like a motel. Overall I felt like we overpaid however it did get the job done.
I thought it was a lot closer to downtown core…..walking distance would be more than 40 mins for me…..I had a car anyways…and I guess its good when its on the weekend in October…Parking is free in some places…..the room was with a big bath tub (Jacuzzi) I did not find it at all that great…..the whole place needs up keep…
total reno’s….order breakfast the next morning….plastic cutlery no cart no carafe for coffee…I guess the food comes from Shark’s rest. downstairs….NO table in the room….apparently the guy told me on the phone before going to Victoria that the room was I believe $300. plus…I had for over $175.
hard to eat when you don’t have a small table with two chairs ,,,,, just microwave and sm. fridge….
