One of the more unique places I’ve stayed locally. Spotlessly clean and very quiet. Staff were excellent and “J” was particularly nice to chat with. Beautiful gardens and nice patios make this a place you want to visit.
My husband and i had to fly into Victoria for a medical procedure, which in itself is quite costly. Our flight did not land until 8:30pm so by the time we were able to rent a car and drive to the hotel it was 9:30, but while we were in line at the car rental we received a call from the hotel asking if we were still checking in that evening. They seemed a wee bit put out. When i called to book the room I asked if we could have a late check out again stating that having a medical procedure done and would like time to rest before our flight back home at 6pm the next day. They said they would see what they could do. Fast forward to the next morning. We are leaving to the doctors and again ask about the late check out, again they complain that their cleaning staff leaves by 4pm and the latest we could stay was 2pm which didn’t help as our appointment was at 11:45 and was pushed back as the doctor was running late so we didn’t even make it back to the hotel until 2pm. The hotel itself is beautiful as well as the grounds, we would love to come back and stay, we are in Victoria quite a bit due to the doctors, but their lack of compassion was very disheartening.
