Embassy Inn Victoria

I had stayed here overnight once before, alone. This time my wife and I stayed three nights. Everyone from the reception to the cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was free, as was the breakfast,( though this was not as varied as we would have liked. Why do so few hotels offer granola or muesli?) The beds were comfortable, and everything in the rooms very clean, the adjacent street quiet and the location very good either for walking or driving.

When booking our hotel we kept coming back to the embassy. The price was right, included breakfast and parking.

We ended up calling the hotel to book directly. They were able to price match what I saw online and upgraded us to a king sized bed.

The hallway wasn’t upgraded but the room was with more updated decor. The bathroom was not updated but everything was clean and worked well.
The room had a balcony which was nice and had a slip of ocean view.

The continental breakfast was quite good with waffles, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit salad and a collection of cereals, teas pastries.

The location of the hotel was really good, next to the legislature buildings. As its off the main street, the room was nice and quiet with no traffic or street noise.

The only downside of the room was the sunlight which lit up the room early morning (8am). The beds were firm but mostly comfortable.
Would stay here again and would recommend for a budget vacation
