It was probably just fine during the 1970s but unfathomable that a so-called high end hotel doesn’t even bother to install outlets on desk or bedside table or bedside lamp. Location is great. No breakfast buffet and a la carte breakfast menu is over priced for standard breakfast fare. No bar. It was noticeable when booking that this hotel was about half the price of others in same category, presumably because of lack of updates.
We had arrived at the Inn at Laurel Point to check in and found quite a wonderful surprise. The hotel had decided to upgrade us from the room we had to the Honeymoon suite. Our check in was seamless and the lady behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. We entered and found it to be absolutely amazing. Every room (except the bathroom) had absolutely beautiful views. The TV room had a pull out bed, TV, phone, small refrigerator and a sliding door to a very large patio. The bedroom had a TV, chair and sliding door to the large patio. The bedroom was about the the only place for good WIFI if you need it. The bathroom has a large glass enclosed shower and 2 sinks. There was this super big 4 person jetted tub next to the bedroom that also had spectacular views, wow what a way to relax. Checking out was also seamless. We will definitely come back, thanks to whomever picked us for the upgrade, it was truly wonderful.
