Bedford Regency Hotel

I stayed here Sept 2016 for business. As I pull up to the front the (10 Minute Hotel zone ) is being occupied by 2 taxis, and one behind them on the street in cue. I politely asked them to move and they got very rude with me , but finally one got called away and I was able to fit in to unload my things. During my stay on several occasions I pulled up to the front of the hotel to quickly run up to my room to get something ,only to find the (10 minute Hotel Zone) Occupied by Taxis. It was so frustrating. I don’t think I should have to fight with cab driver every time I need to return to my hotel. Especially when They are there to pick-up bar patrons from the Irish Times.(In a totally different building).
I returned again in October, because I thought it was a nice place I would give it a second chance. To my dismay I ran into the same situation. Rude Taxi Drivers who would not move.
Here I am tonight in Victoria across the water this time. I drove by your Hotel ; just to see; I was floored to see more Taxis outside.
Its too bad because it is such a nice little place, and I was shopping for a new hotel in Victoria for our companies monthly Visits.
I do have to say The Staff at your hotel are very Nice , and professional.

Abigails Hotel Victoria

We wanted to stay somewhere special for a couple of days to celebrate our anniversary and picked Abigail’s Hotel based on the excellent reviews. It was a perfect choice! Our room was large, decor and fireplace were very romantic, amenities were lovely and the breakfast and happy hour were terrific. Location was very convenient as we could easily walk to pubs, restaurants and attractions. Looking forward to another visit!

My sister and I stayed for three days in December while visiting our mum who lives on Collinson Street which is a few minutes walk.
When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by staff. Ours rooms were beautiful and comfortable. There was a gift of a calendar, a hand-written welcome card, and some delicious cookies in our room. Plus Fresh flowers! Wow.
The bed sheets are to die for and the robes are soft and plush
We had breakfast delivered to our room each morning. Food was excellent! Delivered in a basket. Apples were provided each afternoon which we unfortunately missed (next time!)
I would definitely come back!

Bedford Regency Hotel

The Bedford Regency is small, friendly hotel in the very heart of Victoria’s downtown core. Everything is at your doorsteps. Unfortunately this also applies to the local pubs, two of which are connected to the hotel (and two more are within 15-20 m in either direction). So stay here only if you are either an incredibly good sleeper or don’t mind being up until 2 am every morning, when the parties die down.

Great staff.
Great price.
Great location.
Great rooms.
Bed was very, very hard.
Parking was expensive, parcade cost $15 across the street.
Murchies and Munroes bookstore is right there.
Really great location.
Rooms was funky and very clean.
TV was too small and bed hard.
Loved how windows opened.

Clean, pleasant and friendly staff, easy check in, comfortable bed, quirky extras (bath duck!), good continental breakfast, nice lobby. Our only negative is the location if you don’t have a car. Buses are regular but a good 50 minute walk along a busy road if you choose.

Hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful which was great after a long flight, bus, ferry and then another bus to get to alovely clean and comfy room. Also getting a breakfast every morning was great with fresh bagels, bread, croisants, fresh orange Juice, cereals etc. One thing I will say is if you are a light sleeper see if you can get a room at the back of the hotel. I was at the front and its a wee bit noisy but i still enjoyed my stay.

Wow. A beautiful hotel with Victorian charm. Fantastic service and staff who go above and beyond at every opportunity. Lots of staff around, so that this excellent service is always available. We had a King room. Lots of room, quiet A/C, fantastic bathtub and shower, lovely lotions and shampoos… I could go on and on. The library was a great spot to sit in a comfy chair and enjoy quality tea or coffee that is always available. The free breakfast was right up there with The Empress High tea. Multiple choices of great food and lots, with personal service.
One note of warning: no elevator and each floor involves 2 flights of stairs. But the willing staff carry your heavy suitcase. You MUST use their public washroom, and use the rose petal soaps they provide. I bought some after.
I heard staff locate some crackers for a client who was needing food to go with evening medications. They willingly gave me a tour of the garden. Helped us find a good place for evening snack, just a walk away (Tacofino). Changed our Empress Hotel High Tea reservation. They seem to live, to serve. This place is not inexpensive, but it’s worth every cent. Just be sure to allow time to take it all in. Oh, and they provide fresh cookies when you arrive and hors d’oeuvres from 4-6pm. We missed the latter, but I can assure you that they are likely fantastic.

I visited an out of town person I know at Bedford Regency Hotel. I found the staff to be reasonably nice and professional in customer service. It is also one of the smaller and cozier hotels compared to the large corporate chain hotels. The large and more spread out the corporate hotels means you are just another number in their systems. This hotel is rumored to be ghost haunted by some people, but mildly. I find these kinds of things fascinating. I would not be surprised as practically at least half of the older parts of Greater Victoria buildings and places are reputed to be haunted. Many historically and interesting things have probably happened?

This place is just fine. Clean, basic.. I was there with my child athlete and the breakfast was enough to feed her for her competition. Not fancy – but just great. Price point was good and there are a lot of things surrounding this hotel- groceries, pharmacy, liquor store etc.

This is our first time at an Accent Inn. It will not be our last. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone has been friendly, helpful and happy. The room was spotless and well maintained. I look forward to staying at other locations in BC.

We followed the advice of the reviews and chose Abigails for our 2 night stay in Victoria. We could not have been happier. The staff did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The room was clean and very comfortable. The appetisers were delicious. Breakfast was made extra special by the nice staff and the chef was top noch! They were happy to make reservations for us to restaurants and attractions. The location allowed us to walk everywhere. We can’t wait to visit again!

This is a gem! Well located near downtown – walk to harbor, government center, Empress Hotel, etc.
Beautiful small hotel with wonderful staff and a fabulous chef cooking full breakfast to order and preparing evening hors d’oevres to go with the wine – either theirs or yours.
Pastries baked fresh every morning to go with your included breakfast.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the whole place has charm in abundance.
Short walk to several good restaurants for lunch or dinner, and an easy drive to all of the attractions that Victoria has to offer. Just about 1 mile from the ferry terminal to go to Port Angeles.
You’ll enjoy your stay. Our only regret was that we just had one night at Abigail’s!!

We only stayed here one night and thought it was good value for money. Family of 4 in one room with two double beds. Very clean and comfortable
Don’t be put off by the loaction on Government Street, heart of town, if you are for a quiet evening. Many of the rooms, like ours, ovelook the street that is busy from early morning to around 1am. Next door on both sides are bars that link DIRECTLY to the hotel- not even a closed door. Immediate impression is that this is going to be one noisy location.
But surprisingly in our room we heard very little from the street bleow below or the two pubs, despite the fact that it was bedlam noise in the hotel reception area. I felt sorry for the staff who have to endure this and they were friendly thoughout. So great location especially if you overlook Government Street and all in all it was good value for money.

The motel is easy to find and not too far from the city center. Since it is situated next to the highway some rooms are a bit noisy. The rooms are more spacious than most other motels we visited. The rooms were clean. The beds were a bit too soft. The breakfast was simple.

Nice place but the room was a bit dated. Very noisy fan in bathroom. Good value for what we paid. Close to Gallop Goose trail and free bikes to borrow. Free breakfast was good. Pancakes, muffins, scones etc. Fruit, cereal, yogurt, tea and coffee. All good.
