Bedford Regency Hotel

The room was better then advertised, it was welcoming and homey, great to relax in. The staff was friendly and professional. Shopping, great food, local sights all within walking distance. The view was fantastic. Definitely made our stay feel more like a stay with friends.

Right in the middle of down town Victoria. How many hotels have a wood burning fireplace. Great stay and staff. Will be returning. A great place everything within walking distance. Did I mention how great the staff was.
Perfectly situated in the heart of downtown. Easy to walk everywhere. Tons of character and very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and quiet. Small rooms because of the age of the building but tastefully done.

They care about their guests! They will attend to you and your needs. As most everyone points out, the rooms are awesome. We stayed four nights in Foxglove sleeping in a deliciously comfortable bed. We arrived in our room with a bottle of wine, chocolate covered fruit, and a greeting card congratulating us on our anniversary. Such a nice gesture. The huge whirlpool tub, four post bed, elegant window dressing, and fireplace set a romantic tone for our 32nd anniversary getaway. Read all the five star reviews below, I vouch for all the high reviews of this wonderful little hotel.

They serve breakfast everyday and every day, it’s a well thought out menu of delightfully tasty morning fare. Kudos to Josh, the young man who cooked our beautifully plated dish every day.

This is the place to stay in Victoria.

Everything was pretty much perfect. The service was excellent, the room was impeccable, from the cookies on arrival to the comfortable bed, and the thick, fluffy towels.
The included appetizers and breakfast were delicious.

Accent Inn Victoria

Stayed four nights here recently, everything was very nice. The breakfast was plentiful with good options including boiled eggs and pancakes. Staff really friendly and helpful. Free shuttle ride downtown was nice. And the rubber ducky on the tub was really cute.

Location: Uptown and great location for restaurants and shopping mall if you have a vehicle. About 10 mins drive to downtown Victoria.

Room: Very noisy if they place you facing the main street. Very basic but clean. Plumbing could be loud at times. Thin walls. AC cuts in & out every 5 mins – very annoying.

Staff: Ana was the person who checked us in. She’s very friendly and was going to accommodate me with my request of a quiet room but was stopped by another older staff, who told me they were completely sold out on that day. I tried to explain to them that we are very light sleepers and would like a room on higher floor, away from the main road, elevator and ice machine but that older lady would not budge. Ana assured me my room was “very quiet”. It was room 201 – across from the elevator and right next to a pop machine. The vibration of the machine can be heard through the wall and the room smelled funny. There’s no way we could spend 2 nights in that room. As I couldn’t get the staff to accommodate me, I asked my husband to do it. Somehow, when he asked for it, the rooms were suddenly not completely sold out anymore. We got another room down the hall facing the back.

Parking: Complimentary and more than enough.

Breakfast: Continental with a lot of choices. It was very good.

I gave this hotel a try based on the positive reviews of others. However, I don’t find the staff as accommodating as what other people described. I don’t think the staff treat all their guests the same way.

Accent Inn Victoria

I was tired and looking for a hotel to hide away for a few days. I tried everywhere in Victoria. My last hope was Accent Inns. The problem I was having is I do not use Credit Cards and no one would take debit with a deposit. I walked in the doors at the accent inn and was immediately greeted by Patti, she saw how tired I was said no worries she would make an exception for me. She had a room but upgraded me to a mini suite (she guaranteed the room under her name, so if anything was damaged she was accountable) she went above and beyond for me, I am so grateful for all that she has done!! I had two night of pure relaxation!! The staff, rooms and location is absolutely fantastic!!! I would highly recommend the Accent Inns. It is very evident that Customer Service is definitely top priority for them!! Great Job best hotel ever!!

Bedford Regency Hotel

Love the decor, location ,fireplace, and heater. Wonderful place to stay in downtown, close walking distance to everything including shopping, places I wanted to go such as empress and harbor.
Will definitely stay again

This hotel’s location is perfect, especially for the reasonable price. I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights and actually just went back for sleeping. The room is quite big, with a bed, sofas, working table, washroom (towels, shampoo, conditioner and showel gel provided), two sinks (not sure if this is for every room). You can find basic things you need provided, remember to bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush though. Don’t particularly expect the room to be very fancy as the theme for the hotel is more to the old style but I will say its pretty good for the price. Got some quality sleep since we don’t get any sounds from the other rooms or outside. Staff were fine and cleaning service is good too. Definitely recommend here for a short stay near downtown Victoria with a reasonable price!

Awesome place to stay . Great location , walking distance to everywhere . The staff are superb from the front desk to the kitchen and the housekeeping.
Our our was big and beautifully appointed. ( Ruby) , the bathroom is spacious.
Overall it was a lovely place and I would not hesitate to recommend it to family & friends.

This is a special hotel with amazing staff. Every detail is taken care of. Breakfasts are fantastic with fresh scones or muffins, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, and choice of savory or sweet entrees with sides of potatoes and bacon or ham. Immaculate kitchen and dining room prepared by a professional chef. Staff, including Jamie, Alice and Allison were so thoughtful and helpful. We highly recommend Abigail’s Hotel and only wish we could have stayed longer!

I stayed here Sept 2016 for business. As I pull up to the front the (10 Minute Hotel zone ) is being occupied by 2 taxis, and one behind them on the street in cue. I politely asked them to move and they got very rude with me , but finally one got called away and I was able to fit in to unload my things. During my stay on several occasions I pulled up to the front of the hotel to quickly run up to my room to get something ,only to find the (10 minute Hotel Zone) Occupied by Taxis. It was so frustrating. I don’t think I should have to fight with cab driver every time I need to return to my hotel. Especially when They are there to pick-up bar patrons from the Irish Times.(In a totally different building).
I returned again in October, because I thought it was a nice place I would give it a second chance. To my dismay I ran into the same situation. Rude Taxi Drivers who would not move.
Here I am tonight in Victoria across the water this time. I drove by your Hotel ; just to see; I was floored to see more Taxis outside.
Its too bad because it is such a nice little place, and I was shopping for a new hotel in Victoria for our companies monthly Visits.
I do have to say The Staff at your hotel are very Nice , and professional.

We wanted to stay somewhere special for a couple of days to celebrate our anniversary and picked Abigail’s Hotel based on the excellent reviews. It was a perfect choice! Our room was large, decor and fireplace were very romantic, amenities were lovely and the breakfast and happy hour were terrific. Location was very convenient as we could easily walk to pubs, restaurants and attractions. Looking forward to another visit!

My sister and I stayed for three days in December while visiting our mum who lives on Collinson Street which is a few minutes walk.
When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by staff. Ours rooms were beautiful and comfortable. There was a gift of a calendar, a hand-written welcome card, and some delicious cookies in our room. Plus Fresh flowers! Wow.
The bed sheets are to die for and the robes are soft and plush
We had breakfast delivered to our room each morning. Food was excellent! Delivered in a basket. Apples were provided each afternoon which we unfortunately missed (next time!)
I would definitely come back!

The Bedford Regency is small, friendly hotel in the very heart of Victoria’s downtown core. Everything is at your doorsteps. Unfortunately this also applies to the local pubs, two of which are connected to the hotel (and two more are within 15-20 m in either direction). So stay here only if you are either an incredibly good sleeper or don’t mind being up until 2 am every morning, when the parties die down.

Great staff.
Great price.
Great location.
Great rooms.
Bed was very, very hard.
Parking was expensive, parcade cost $15 across the street.
Murchies and Munroes bookstore is right there.
Really great location.
Rooms was funky and very clean.
TV was too small and bed hard.
Loved how windows opened.
