Enjoyed 2 lovely nights in 2 bedroom suite w nice view. Excellent family space for party of 5. Breakfast at Vic’s was hearty and convenient. Jake the shuttle driver provided great service. Great location — we walked w our bags from the clipper.

Stayed at the Harbour Towers Hotel July 15-17 and I can honestly say that this hotel is a wonderful place. Our room was a king suite on the 11th floor with an inner harbor view that was very, very nice. The employees at the hotel bent over backwards for us. They were GREAT! From the front desk people to the waiters, to the cleaning ladies, to the shuttle driver, they were top notch in customer care. The weather was HOT HOT HOT and true, they don’t have air conditioning in the rooms but with the windows open and the balcony door open and the 2 ceiling fans going, it was tolerable. The kitchen was great with everything you could need if you choose to bring food back to your room. Victoria is geared towards having tourists eat at restaurants instead of going to a market and bringing back snacks. The hotel location is only a block and a half away from the Coho Ferry from Port Angeles, Wa. (I live in Port Angeles) The price was average for Victoria for a room like that. Everything is expensive in Victoria. I did not see that the room was old or dirty or anything bad about it. At Vics Restaurant, downstairs, the breakfast buffet was very good and the dinner was good also if you choose to eat there. They have a very nice work-out room, a very nice pool and a hot tub right there also. So I would highly recommend staying at this fine hotel.

This is not a new hotel and some places show that age, or it may be that there are different regulations than what I’m used to in the US. But, overall it served it’s purpose well. The location is great, about mid-way between downtown and the small “Fisherman’s Wharf” area, all in fairly easy walking distance as is the Royal British Columbia Museum (if you like museums a must see!)

The water was hot fast and plentiful, the room itself is a bit snug and I did not like the configuration/placement of the coffee maker, but if I have to complain about that then there isn’t much really wrong here is there?

Some of the furniture is showing it’s age, but again, we were seldom in the room, and it actually was patched pretty well. Our room had a small balcony, which was a nice perk. The view wasn’t the greatest, but it was better than overlooking just a parking lot. We could see a touch of the harbor and the largest of the ships therein.

The restaurant in house, we used once and it was excellent, both food quality and service.

The staff and comfort helped make our three nights and two full days in Victoria a success.

You know that feeling of when you sit in a bed, and you sink down, and you can literally feel the springs? If not, stay at this hotel to experience it. The view is very nice, and the staff are great. The breakfast was just ok, but the staff at the front desk and the room attendant made up for that…

Also, get screens on your windows! With no a/c I had to open all the windows to get air flow. Woke up the first night to the sound of a seagull in my room! Not exaggerating!

We had a King Suite with our small dog and it was great. The hospitality was exceptional, the facility well-maintained and we loved the location. Despite the conference it rarely seemed overly busy – good space near the entrance area for our members to gather so they weren’t in the lobby. Nice artwork.
Would have liked a TV in our bedroom. There was one in the main room of our suite but it was in an odd place.

Harbour Towers  Hotel Review – Victoria

We were married at the Harbour Towers 25 yrs. ago so it was a big deal to stay there. The staff is incredible everyone was very nice and easy to deal with. The room is nice but no different than any regular room at any 2 star hotel. The tv had no tv guide so it was really annoying having to run through all the channels all the time trying to get something interesting. There was no room service, which was a surprise as that was part of the attraction in the second honeymoon, and there used to be room service. The drinks at the bar were inventive and really good as was the beer (really good and cold). Everywhere was really clean and the people were really nice. Next time I will request a view as it really adds to the experience, but they did let us in early 2pm instead of 4pm but we had to pay $30 for parking for 2 nights. All in all it was a good experience, but I would be more precise with my requests the next time we stay there and not expect room service, going a picking it up yourself is no where near the same thing.

Harbour Towers  Hotel Review – Victoria

Pros: Location
Location: walking distance to many areas that people want to visit.
Was very disappointed to be charged a $1.00 for bottles of water in the room. Especially when it was VERY evident that two of the bottles had their seals broken and the caps removed, then just re-filled with water and made to look like they were new bottles. Rooms are very small, but have everything you need. Parking was $15.00 If i am staying at your hotel and paying for a room, parking should be free….

Harbour Towers  Hotel Review – Victoria

My partner and I stayed here in early May 2014. We had a two-bedroom suite which we shared with my parents. The second bedroom is on the small side, but both had balcony access. The unit itself was large – as advertised. It reminded me of my first apartment (about 600 sq. ft.). The living room was large and comfortable. The kitchen was adequate for preparing breakfast or lunch type meals.

The the room was clean, quiet and reasonably equipped. A great option for families.

We very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet that was included with the room.

It may look like it’s far from the core but if you don’t mind a 15 minute walk (to the Empress Hotel). My mid-70s parents didn’t mind at all!

We were in town 3 days. Highlights for us were a bus tour (from in front of the Empress Hotel) which included a stop at Craigdarroch Castle, the Maritime Museum, a walk along the waterfront, (near the Terry Fox Statue and near the Cruise Ship Terminal), China Town, and the Robert Bateman museum.

Harbour Towers  Hotel Review – Victoria

This second visit was as good as the first. Had a suite on their winter rate special, and very comfortable as before. Did not have to pay for parking which is a bonus these days. Room clean. Staff very helpful. Highly recommended.
