The hotel is in a great location in downtown Victoria. The hotel itself is an older but nicely renovated. The bed wa s comfortable except for the foot board which isn’t conducive for 6’2 plus people The climate control (air conditioner) is brutal and not much use. The average temp in our room was 26 celsius and we couldn’t get it any cooler. The room service was poor and sporadic times. We had to call twice to have it cleaned at 3 PM. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Parking is 2 blocks away in a secured underground facility. Make sure you check their hrs as on Sat they don’t open to let you out until 9AM, Sundays 11. Nicely located besides Garrick Head pub which is awesome

Friends recommended this downtown hotel when we made two trips to see our son and his partner. One room we saw was quite cramped, but our room both times was very spacious, its halves almost a mirror. A queen bed at either end facing each other, with lots of space in between, large bathroom, and big windows overlooking the street. I noticed that in daylight you could see the nearby harbour reflected in the windows across the street.
It’s an older place, in the heart of Government Street. The traffic noise was nowhere near as bad as I had feared, and if you keep your room fan going, it blocks out much of the traffic. There was some noise when the pubs pour people out at last call, but it didn’t go on for an intolerable time.
I think there was a charge for parking — we walk everywhere, and our son has a car, so we don’t get a rental. It’s two or three blocks to the inner harbour, no more than 20 minutes to anything downtown, handy to go running along the water and to Ogden Point and Dallas Road along the ocean.
There are a pub and a wine bar on the ground floor either side, the pedestrian alley market is around the corner, you’re in the middle of everything.

Very good located near the historic and most beautiful places of Victoria BC. It has excellent rooms but the bathroom was a little small but sufficient. The price is very cheap for the quality of the hotel. Staff is very gentle and they offer a good service.

Second Review Bedford Regency Hotel
This hotel is in the Old Town of Victoria, BC and it is very quiet and cozy. We had a beautiful room with a view of the harbour and a wood burning fireplace! The staff were very professional and even had an umbrella to loan us when the weather changed. The restaurant had very good food and even better service. We will definitely stay there again. This is a good hotel for a romantic getaway as it is close to everything.

I Love this hotel! It’s Euro-style in a Good Way: NOT generic, NOT identical rooms.
Friendly, efficient Staff! Wonderful beds and bedding, super clean, coffee in room, hairdryers, all the usual amenities – shampoo, conditioner, soap- TV (that I dont turn on). Heat in the room was Perfect. QUIET. Two pubs at street level- one of each side of the hotel. Located directly in the middle of the shopping district. One-quarter mile from the Royal B.C. Hotel and Parliament. Parking in a Heated Garage with 24/7 attendant for $11. Looking forward to a return visit SOON! (My room did not have a view. Not sure about other rooms)

Hotel is located in heart of downtown bustling Victoria, sandwiched in-between two great restaurants with night-life vibe and great customer service at both restaurants. Shopping mall across the street is an added bonus. The staff at the hotel is very friendly, helpful and pleasant.

The room we stayed in was small but extremely comfortable & cozy. Everything worked, the furniture & bedding was clean.

The only drawback was the surprise additional charge added to my credit card for the hotel tax not mentioned (nor included) in my Living Social voucher. However this was it. All in all, I would definitely stay here again for any future travels to this lovely Canadian town.

We disembarked from the sea-plane and walked to the hotel. It is that easy to access from the harbour and from every tourist attraction. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs where you can have your meals and chill. Victoria is more expensive than vancouver so your wallet must be prepared. The hotel is old with high ceilings and bay windows . Fridge and coffee maker were provided. The bathroom was ok and clean. For one night , it was just right. The front desk guy was helpful and friendly.

This funky boutique hotel offers a fantastic location: near Chinatown/shops, an easy walk to the Ferry/waterfront, restaurants, museum and park. Breakfast is not provided, but there is a fridge in room. Towels could be of better quality, but room was very clean – and there was a working fireplace, complete with kindling and logs.
Front desk staff was very accommodating – warm welcome, understanding need to extend our check-out time, courteous at all times. Request room with view of Harbor – very nice!

Pleasant and accommodating staff, clean rooms, perfectly located in the center of the shopping district and right next to the best french bakery and coffee shop in town. We stayed for three nights during the week. The price was in our comfort range and with the favorable USD/CAD exchange rate, it was a bargain. Based on Trip Advisor reviews we chose to stay in a superior room. Bed was comfortable and the room had a functioning and stocked fire place. We didn’t use it (September) but it would be very cozy on a chilly evening. Parking is off site at $11 per night. We left ours in Port Angelies for the same money but avoided the hassle of parking and didn’t need it since we walked everywhere anyway. Going to the hotel from the Ferry landing is up hill so we took a Blue Bird cab curbed just out side the Ferry Line building. The fee was $7 plus tip. When we left we walked our luggage since it was down hill and only about 1/2 mile. (Nice to shop one last time on the way out).

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring this beautiful city. The price is also the best I could find for this location.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Parking is quite a distance away, bit of a walk, especially in the rain.
Room was very clean but very dated, its like a decor trip to the 1980s, ruffled blinds and all. The bathroom, while again clean, was dated with chipped taps and sink, old shower unit and a bizzare GLASS sliding door.
The TV was small and situated so that you could not watch it from either bed.
There was a strange ‘airfreshener’ smell to the whole place.
If you are looking for romance, this is not the place . You will not want to spend time in your room. If you are looking for somewhere to drop off your stuff and go and explore it is adequate
